PhotoTrace Privacy Policy

Last updated: February 23, 2026

Overview

PhotoTrace is designed with your privacy in mind. The app operates entirely on your device and does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data.

Camera Access

PhotoTrace requires access to your device's camera to display a live preview for tracing. The camera feed is displayed in real time on your screen and is never recorded, stored, or transmitted.

Photo Library Access

You can select photos from your library to use as tracing overlays. PhotoTrace uses Apple's system photo picker, which provides access only to the specific photos you select. Your photos are processed on-device and are never uploaded or shared.

Data Collection

PhotoTrace does not collect any data. Specifically:

Data Storage

PhotoTrace does not store any data beyond the current app session. When you close the app, no images or settings are retained.

Children's Privacy

PhotoTrace does not collect any data from anyone, including children under the age of 13.
